Privacy Policy

LogShot is developed by Shota Shiozumi (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use LogShot.

1. Overview

LogShot processes your recordings and images on your device. We do not upload your photos, videos, audio recordings, or imported LUT files to developer-operated servers.

LogShot does not require a user account and does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information Processed on Your Device

LogShot processes and stores information needed to provide its features, including:

  • Video clips and audio captured during recording.
  • Photos extracted from recorded clips.
  • Thumbnails, recording metadata, and frame selections.
  • Custom LUT files you choose to import.
  • Camera settings, display preferences, and Pro access status.

This information is used to capture, preview, organize, and export your content, and to remember your preferences.

The app also reads available storage space and file timestamps to manage recordings and display relevant information. Device motion is used for the camera level and orientation features.

3. Permissions

Camera
LogShot requests camera access to capture images and video.

Microphone
LogShot requests microphone access to record audio with video clips. Without microphone permission, audio recording is unavailable.

Photo Library
LogShot requests permission to add exported photos and videos to your photo library. This permission does not give the app unrestricted access to your existing photo library.

Files
When you choose a LUT file using the system file picker, LogShot accesses the selected file and stores an imported copy for use in the app.

You can manage camera, microphone, and photo permissions in iOS Settings. Features that require a permission may be unavailable when that permission is denied or revoked.

4. Apple Services and Purchases

When Pro purchases are offered, they are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details.

LogShot may use Apple-provided, verified app transaction and purchase information to determine Pro eligibility, restore purchases, and recognize eligible early users. This information is used for access management, not advertising or tracking.

Apple handles information associated with the App Store, payments, and its other services under Apple’s Privacy Policy:
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/

5. Backups and iCloud

LogShot does not provide its own cloud storage service.

Depending on your Apple settings, app data may be included in device backups, and media saved to your photo library may sync through iCloud Photos. These processes are controlled by your device settings and Apple’s services.

6. Support Communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, message, and any attachments.

We use this information to respond to your inquiry and investigate reported issues. Please avoid sending sensitive content unless it is necessary for your request.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to handle the inquiry, maintain relevant support records, or meet legal obligations. You may contact us to request its deletion.

7. Retention and Deletion

Recordings and imported LUT files remain in the app’s local storage until you delete them or remove the app.

Deleting the app removes its local app data. Offloading the app may preserve its data.

Photos and videos exported to your photo library are separate copies. Deleting a clip in LogShot or deleting the app does not delete those exported copies. You can manage them in the Photos app.

Backups and synced copies must be managed through the relevant Apple settings or services. Apple may retain transaction records under its own policies.

8. Security

LogShot uses the storage and permission protections provided by iOS. We do not maintain server-side copies of your recordings or imported LUT files.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s features or information practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
